The Lucid Dream Exchange just published its quarterly edition, including a long interview of myself on the topic of lucid dreaming. I am grateful to editor Robert Waggoner for the opportunity, which allowed me to tell my story from my early childhood nightmares to my present day academic research. I”m looking forward to the fun discussions that this interview will generate, especially concerning the relationship of consciousness to volition.

On a related note, the annual conference for the International Association for the Study of Dreams started today in California. I”m rolling on up this weekend, and promise to provide some reviews for those who cannot join the dreamers in the beautiful wine country on the Western edge of the empire.
This is the place to be for cutting edge dream research, with hundreds of presentations from many perspectives such as depth psychology, shamanism, neuropsych, literature and art, and ecopsychology. Can’t wait to soak it up: the dreams, I mean, not the wine.
OK, the wine too.
